TB-1 needed a few modifications. The most important according to the tech-men was the lowering of the center of gravity. (Wheel mounts were shortened) A Motor clip had to be fitted, since we were using the friction retension method.

This, although fine for small model rockets, was deamed too dangerous for the T.V. people? A stabaliser had to be removed due to the position of the safety wire, and just like TB-2, a set of clips had to be fitted to attach it to the safety wire.
Time for mod - 15 mins.

ThunderBird - 2
Length : 170 mm
Length (with motor) : 170 mm
Width : 055 mm
Wingspan : 140 mm
Height : 037 mm
Weight : 220 gram
Rocket Motor : C6 - 5 (mod)

TB-2 required two modifications, the first was the wire clips to keep it on the safty line. The second, was an engine clip. Just like TB-1, we forgot about the engine mounts.

Time for mods - 10 mins.

The 2003/04 Techno-Games was cancelled.

Something to do with the T.V. companies. The BBC got Channel 4 to film it, and the contestents don't get anything for taking part.

So no doubt someone complained about money, and someone about ratings. As such it went from being put off, to being cancelled to being scrapped altogether. Channel 4 would have taken it up, but the BBC wouldn't let the format and name be used.

Make your own mind up, sadly there will be no new stuff for this bit, but we will continue the rocket cars in the "Projects" section and try to
get the shots from the show put up as well.
